About Us
ICT4TZ is an initiative supported by the University of Michigan, committed to using the power of technology to advance sustainable development in primary and secondary schools across Tanzania. We believe that digital skills, innovation, and access to ICT solutions are essential pillars for expanding opportunities in education. By providing students and teachers with modern tools and knowledge, ICT4TZ is shaping a future where technology connects communities, accelerates progress, and brings positive transformation to both educational and developmental sectors.
Our Projects
At ICT4TZ, our projects are specifically designed to support schools, empower teachers and students, and encourage creativity in the classroom. Each initiative reflects our commitment to making technology accessible, easy to use, and capable of improving learning and transforming the lives of students in schools across Tanzania.
School Computer Labs
We support schools in setting up or improving computer labs that give students access to modern technology. These labs create a space for learning, exploration, and digital practice. They serve as a foundation for long‑term ICT growth in schools.
E‑Learning Support
We help schools adopt digital learning platforms that make education more flexible and accessible. This includes guidance on online resources, digital content, and tools that enhance both teaching and learning. Our support ensures schools can thrive in a blended or digital learning environment.
Teacher ICT Workshops
Our workshops equip teachers with practical ICT knowledge they can apply directly in the classroom. We focus on digital teaching methods, educational tools, and strategies that make learning more engaging. Empowered teachers create empowered students.
Coding
We introduce students to the world of programming and problem‑solving. Through hands‑on activities, learners build simple, write code and explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. concepts. These programs nurture creativity and prepare students for future careers in technology.
